Charitable Giving

 

 

In line with Biblical principles we give up 10% of our church income to support other causes that benefit people throughout the world. We divide our giving three ways:
International charities
National charities
Local projects

In recent years, we have given to the following groups:

International

CMS (Church Missionary Society) to support our mission partners Jason and Tracey Day working in Nepal

TearFund – Christian relief and development charity working to help the poorest people around the world

The Gurkha Villages Aid trust – supporting villagers in rural Nepal

National

Firebird Group RDA – riding for disabled people, Church members: Megan Roberts has attended the local group and Pat Partington is a working member

Church Army – working in mission and evangelism linked to the Anglican Church and working mainly outside of church buildings

Borrowash House – our local hostel for women and their children

Borrowbrook Home Link – supporting older people in our community

Derby Deaf Children’s Society – helping children with communication issues
