Social Events

Harvest Supper

We all love a good get-together and a chance to share food, and our Harvest Suppers have been a real chance to enjoy some wonderful fellowship.  Altering slightly each year, our last Harvest Supper was a bring and share with quizzes on tables and activities for all the children.

Christmas Fayre and Easter Eggstravaganza

Our Easter and Christmas events are very popular.  The Christmas Fayre changes from year to year with an assortment of stalls.  Anyone coming along can enjoy a hot drink and a mince pie; last year there was even mulled wine!  Father Christmas pays a visit and it really gets you into the Christmas spirit, which is a time of great celebration for the church.

Our Easter Eggstravaganza in 2014 was a great success, with egg hunts, egg and spoon races and a car wash run by our Inspire Youth Group.  It was lovely to greet local families and enjoy time getting to know each other.  Lot of chocolate and cake was consumed and we raised a good amount of money for the buildings fund and youth group fund.

Curry Night

It does seem that many of our social events involve food and our Curry Night was no exception.  In partnership with our local Curry House, Bay of Bengal, we held a great evening with a curry buffet, quiz and raffle.  We look forward to more of these events in the coming year.

Quiet Days

Sometimes life is just too busy – even in church.  Quiet Days are organised to help people step back and reflect on God in a structured day led by a visiting preacher.  They are real chance to stop and think, pray and enjoy the presence of God.

Coffee Mornings

We have regular coffee mornings to help raise funds for much needed church projects, and also to have a chance to socialise outside of the church services.

For details of when all our social events run please see our calendar.
