Ages 0 - 11

We value children and young people as an essential part of the church family, and work hard to provide engaging, fun and safe opportunities which allow them to learn about God and to grow in their understanding the Christian faith. We offer a variety of groups to support children under 16, their families and carers. We operate the Derby Diocesan child protection policy, "Safe From Harm".

Crèche Room at All Saints’.
We have a crèche room at All Saints’ Church, which is in a carpeted room in the bell tower, with easy access for parents adjacent to the back of church. You can use this at any time during services at All Saints’ Church if your child becomes distressed or noisy. The room contains many toys suitable for the under 3s to play with, and the service is broadcast through to ensure you still feel connected to what is going on in church.

Shining Stars
Set up to provide local provision for families, Shining Stars is our popular toddler group. We meet on a Thursday between 9-11am during term time at the Church Hall (Gordon Lacey Hall) in Ockbrook.  Come along and see what we get up to and enjoy the chance to meet other parents and families from the area.

All Saints’ Kids' Church at 11am
Our Sunday School meets in the Ockbrook Parish Hall, just 100 metres from All Saints’ Church. Children aged under 11 begin in church with their family and carers and leave part of the way through the service. They are accompanied by adults up to the Parish Hall where they enjoy a range of children’s activities before rejoining the main congregation towards the end of the service. We offer two groups depending on the age of the child: Sparklers is for children aged 3-7 (up to the end of Infants) and Rock Solid is for ages 7-11 (Juniors).

4All Services
This service is on the first Sunday of each month at All Saints’ at 11am.  The 4All is a celebration service that attempts to be inclusive for all ages.  With a different theme each month and including drama sketches, multimedia and crafts, there is something for everyone.  This service is increasingly popular and a great way to introduce everyone, including children, to church life in an informal atmosphere.  It is a good chance to get to know people in church, with cake and drinks served after the service to encourage people to stay and chat.

WOW Youth Group

Our younger youth group is for youth in school year 6 up to year 8.  We meet on a Sunday afternoon at the Gordon Lacey Hall at 4pm, except for the first Sunday of the month.  With games, craft activities, chats and a chance to hang out with friends.
