    Silver Service: On Sunday 8thSeptemberfrom 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm in St Stephen’s. A service for the Saga Generation including: some familiar hymns led by Laudate Dominum, musical performance by Mr Greg Maskalik, Thought for the Day, community information, refreshments and much more.     COFFEE MORING.  Saturday, 21st September, 2019 10 a.m. to 12 noon.   Coffee morning with Bring and Buy at St. Stephen’s to raise funds for Harvest Flowers.    Please come along for coffee, cake and a chat.

    HARVEST FISH AND CHIP  SUPPER, Saturday, 28th September, 2019 at 7.00 p.m. at the Gordon Lacey Hall with Quiz and Tombola.  Attendance by ticket only available from Anne Anderson, 674985 or Janet Hoban, 668800 at £5.00 each.    Tombola prizes will be gratefully received

    Joint Service: Sunday September 29thin St Stephen’s beginning at 10.00 am. As this is a 5thSunday, there are no other services in the Anglican churches in the parish on this day.

    Harvest Weekend Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th October: All Good Gifts Around Us

    This harvest we really want to celebrate and thank God for his amazing creation. We want all the church family and the whole community to get involved at both churches over the whole weekend.

    Harvest Weekend  ‘All Good Gifts Around Us’ October 5th and 6th. Send in your photos of Ockbrook and Borrowash. Look for the hidden gifts and beauty in the areas where we live. We will use these images as part of this special weekend.  Send photos and any queries to Rod James, rodajames@aol.com 

    Saturday 5th October:

    2pm - 4pm Harvest Cafe at All Saints’ including the Great Harvest Bake Off, Photography competition, games and crafts. A donation point for one of the local food banks.

    2pm-4pm Open Church at St Stephen’s. Cake and drinks served. Information about the community and the opportunity to light a candle. A donation point for one of the local food banks.

     

    Sunday 6th October:our Harvest Festival services:

    8.00 am Said BCP Holy Communion in All Saints’

    9.15 am 4ALL, an all age service for everyone.

    10.30am Breakfast followed by 11am 4ALL at All Saints’

    6.30 pm Songs of Praise in St Stephen’s.

    Harvest Flowers: This year there will not be a Flower Festival, but there will be Harvest Flowers in St Stephens, Borrowash. Sat 5th October 2pm to 4pm and Sun 6th October 2pm to 4pm

    Harvest Charity: This year we have decided to make our donation to one of the more local food banks in the area. Both Long Eaton and Ilkeston have food banks that need our support. We are in the process of researching this and will communicate to you the charity that has been chosen and their preferred list of items.
